Debris Continues to congest Port Harcourt's Waters

Water bodies in Port Harcourt have for many years been knows for its pungent stench caused by ever growing debris being heaped into them day in day out by passers by and close residents. These people have turned the drains and water ways to their  personal dump site. They even defaecate in these waters.

When it rains, huge piles of plastic bottles can be seen in drains which lead all the way to the rivers and lakes thereby polluting them. This picture was taken on a ride while passing by one of such water bodies that happened to have dried up but left the appalling debris behind. This is but one of the many in this city and trust me, this one is clean compared to the rest; Sarcasm intended. God help this city.
